Well on this green page i'll say,
a thing of what i think today,
which since i please, i think i may,
type quick or slow or pink or gray.
And although pink might sound right gay,
i will right now your fears allay,
i'm quite alright, for bent i'm nay.
i kinda think, it's quite okay,
i cannot sing, like mike buble,
nor even act poor capulet,
upon the bright, shiny parquet
of good ol' grand broadway.
I haven't been to cold norway,
or timbuktu, or mandalay.
Coz singapore, the place i stay,
has got only one railway,
that leads direct to sia-malay,
where its quite fun to play.
If i ever own a chevrolet,
it just might be a cabriolet,
but that'll have to wait till next payday,
which just might come, if i do pray.
Now i had enough of this wordplay,
i'll end right now, this quarterway.

Duality

Heraclitus once claimed that the world is characterized by its opposites.
He pointed out that:

"If we were never ill, we would not know what it was to be well. If we never knew hunger, we would take no pleasure in being full. If there were never any war, we would not appreciate peace. And If there was no winter, we would never see spring."

That's coined the theory of "Dualism".

It follows then, that if one experiences joy, sorrow would naturally take its place when joy passes over.

No. Not quite.

The absence of happiness would be a state of "non-happiness", as opposed to "un-happiness".
A state of what I'd call "neutrality".

Impossible? Not quite either.

Say you're in fear. Total fear. Absolute fear.
You feel scared. period

In that state of dreadful emotion, you won't feel happy, fer sure.
But by golly. You don't feel sad either.

So all you out there, thinking you're sadden by virtue that you cannot find a reason to be happy..

Please shut your face.

You're simply embracing a reason to be sad.
